BOB DYLAN – 1965 REVISITED

A snapshot of Bob Dylan’s final solo acoustic tour, starring musician and Dylan afficionado Bill Lennon.

This intimate one man show features songs of protest and love performed by Bob to sell out concert halls across the UK in the spring of 1965, along with re-workings of later hits including All Along The Watchtower, Like A Rolling Stone and Subterranean Homesick Blues.

Weaved with the stories behind the music and evocative visual projections, this impressive homage to one of the most important songwriters who ever lived is not to be missed.

BILL LENNON – BIOG

Bill is an accomplished and seasoned singer-guitarist whose love for the music of Bob Dylan can be traced back to his early childhood.

Although, like Dylan himself, the piano was Bill’s first instrument, it was the sound of Bob’s voice and guitar on the family’s vinyl copy of The Freewheelin’ Bob Dylan that was to create the more lasting impression.

Bill’s own musical career took a significant upward trajectory when he graduated as “best live performer” from London’s Guitar Institute in 2005, spending the next ten years touring the UK and beyond as Keef Rickard in the Counterfeit Stones as well as performing in a variety of function bands at weddings, corporate events and the like.

During that time Bill also appeared as a solo artist entertaining audiences with songs by the likes of Paul Simon, Cat Stevens, Neil Young and of course, Bob Dylan.

In 2016 Bill was snapped up to play James Taylor in touring theatre show You’ve Got A Friend – The Music of James Tayior and Carole King which gave Bill the opportunity to focus on his first love – the acoustic guitar.

Now delighted to be performing the songs that first enchanted him as a boy in the intimate homage to his idol “Bob Dylan – 1965 Revisited”, Bill also wrote and stars in The Bob Dylan Story, a full stage production which continues to tour theatres across the UK.
